Rest Up And Prepare Perfectly For The Brentwood Half Marathon

Give it your all after a great nights sleep and quality fuel from the kitchen

In just under two weeks on the 22nd March 2015, residents and visitors of Brentwood will be lining the streets in order to cheer on the adventurous souls taking part in the 34th annual Brentwood Half Marathon. Having raised well over £1.7 million for local, national and even international charities, it’s no wonder this has become such a popular event. It’s so popular in fact that runners from all over the UK radiate toward our lovely county of Essex in order to take part.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first timer looking to make an impression, race day preparation is hugely important. One particular aspect that often gets overlooked is rest and quality accommodation. In an attempt to keep costs down and travel on the day to a minimum, many runners simply book the cheapest and closest hotel they can find. This usually results in a bad nights sleep and a much longer finish time than they first anticipated.

It doesn’t matter if you’re competing in the half marathon or the three mile fun run that runs alongside the main event, being fresh and ready for the strenuous exercise ahead is hugely important. This is why we think there’s no better place to rest up and prepare than our very own Marygreen Manor Hotel. Here you’ll be able to indulge the night before and the morning of the race, in high quality dining that’s guaranteed to give you the fuel you need to get around the course with energy to spare. More importantly however you’ll also be able to enjoy the creature comforts within our luxury rooms and suites that offer the best nights sleep you’ll find this side of Essex.

With a dream like sleep the night before and the perfect mix of carbs and protein from our award-winning kitchen, we know you’ll be pumped and ready for the challenge ahead. Located at the Becket Keys Church Of England along Sawyers Hall Lane, our stunning manor house is a mere five minute cab ride away…or a thirty minute run depending on how brave you’re feeling of course.
