Holi Festival Comes To London

The Indian festival of colour, better known as Holi, has just recently taken place in Nepal. The ancient religious Hindu festival, considered the festival of love, signifies the victory of good over evil. Celebrating the arrival of spring after a harsh winter, the now hugely popular festival has spread its wings and made its way around the world. The festival originally begins with the Holika bonfire however it’s the second day, the carnival of colour that’s become the base of the wide spread phenomenon that are the colour runs taking place up and down the country.

 

The free for all religious carnival in India has been whipped up and turned into the huge running event that we all know and love. The Colour Run is considered the ‘happiest 5k on the planet’ promoting health and happiness and is just about to hit the Capital for its forth year in a row.

 

Here on June 7th, the craziest and most colourful run in the city will be hitting Wembley Park once again and we couldn’t be in a better position for those taking part.
