Bag a tasty Easter deal at the Marygreen Manor Hotel

Make Easter a time of romance (and, of course, chocolate!) with a luxury break for two at the Marygreen Manor Hotel.

Whether you focus on the traditions of Easter – for Christians, when they celebrate the last week of Jesus’ life – or simply use it as an excuse to scoff more chocolate, you can enjoy a stay in luxury Tudor surroundings at the Marygreen Manor Hotel. And here, the chocolate comes free!

For the Easter break that just ‘keeps on giving’, book a one-night four star break for only £89 per room (£44.50 per person, per night). As well as accommodation in a luxury garden room (two people sharing) and a hearty full English breakfast, you’ll receive one free Easter egg per person and one free bottle of Prosecco per couple.

Easter Classic British

Easter time can also be a time for families, but if you’re a couple looking for something more intimate and romantic, our ‘Easter break with all the trimmings’ will tick your box – and, of course, you’re not missing out on any chocolate treats. In fact, with a free Easter egg each as part of your bargain package, it would just be rude not to indulge yourself in a few seasonal calories!

The Marygreen Manor Hotel Easter offer is, in anyone’s book, rather more tempting than some of the ‘unusual’ ways Easter is celebrated around the world – ‘butter lamb’ anyone? We’re not talking about a delicious curry dish, either. This is, literally, a lamb made of butter. Stand up and take a bow, Poland, where it’s the tradition to form a hunk of butter into the shape of a woolly lamb to create the ‘Easter Butter Lamb’…

For a more explosive Easter, it’s off to the Greek island of Chios, where two churches stage the annual ‘war of the rockets’. The locals spend all the preceding year preparing thousands of rockets stuffed with fireworks and then, on the Saturday night before Orthodox Easter, the rockets get fired between the churches for hours on end!

Hardly less combustible is the custom, in several European countries, of burning an effigy of Judas Iscariot on the Friday or Saturday before Easter. Sometimes the effigy is stuffed with fireworks. Alternatively, it is given the face of a politician who happens to be unpopular!

So, for a bit of Easter R & R, (rest and romance) head for the Marygreen Manor Hotel, where comfortable accommodation and free treats both chocolate-y and sparkling await you.
